UGA Housing diverts 47,500 pounds of carpet from landfill
The University of Georgia Department of Housing recently was recognized by InterfaceFLOR - the world's largest modular carpet manufacturer - for diversion of 47,500 pounds of carpet from the landfill for recycling, down-cycling or re-purposing through participation in the InterfaceFLOR ReEntry Carpet Reclamation Program.

Georgia college football game goes green
The University of Georgia has partnered with Georgia Power who will provide Green Energy for the game. It will be the first time that electricity for a University of Georgia football game has been generated completely by renewable sources.

Bertsch to address corporate social responsibility at prestigious conference in Asia
Gary K. Bertsch, director of the Center for International Trade and Security at the University of Georgia will take part in the Boao Forum For Asia Annual Conference 2008 in Boao, China, April 10-13.
