A study by UGA's Selig Center for Economic Growth is cited in an Augusta Chronicle article about the impact of the Port of Savannah. The study shows a total of nearly 19,000 jobs in the Augusta area are tied to Georgia's ports, with $1.2 billion in port business from Richmond County alone.
