Athens, Ga. - The University of Georgia will be replacing the steam and condensate system serving Baldwin Hall over the summer semester. To facilitate the project, the portion of South Jackson Street directly in front of Baldwin Hall will be closed to all traffic starting May 14. Motorists should seek an alternate route.

The southbound lane will reopen to traffic on June 1. The northbound lane will remain closed through Aug. 3. Fall semester classes begin Aug. 13.

Baldwin Hall is located at the corner of South Jackson and Baldwin streets. Construction will not affect traffic on Baldwin Street.
