Finalists for vice president for public service and outreach to visit UGA

Athens, Ga. – Four finalists for the position of vice president for public service and outreach at the University of Georgia will visit campus in January to meet with administrators, staff from the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach and other members of the university community.

A search committee, chaired by UGA Vice President for Research David Lee, conducted a national search to identify the finalists for the position.

Each finalist will make a public presentation from 8:45-9:45 a.m. in the Seney-Stovall Chapel of the Lucy Cobb Complex. The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:

• Douglas Steele, vice president for external relations and director of extension, Montana State University, on Jan. 9;

• Jennifer Frum, interim vice president for public service and outreach, University of Georgia, on Jan. 12;

• Patricia Book, assistant vice president for continuing education and academic outreach, University of Northern Colorado, on Jan. 17; and

• Andrew Furco, associate vice president for public engagement and director of the International Center for Research on Community Engagement, University of Minnesota, on Jan. 19.
