Georgia PROBE College Fair set for Sept. 12 at Athens Classic Center

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia will host the annual PROBE College Fair on Sept. 12 from 6-8:30 p.m. at The Classic Center in downtown Athens. High school juniors and seniors from the surrounding area will have the opportunity to gain valuable information about 91 southeastern colleges and universities.

UGA’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions organizes the fair for the Athens area where high school students and their parents can learn about the college admissions process and how to apply for scholarships and financial aid. College recruiters and counselors will be on hand to answer questions.

High school students from Barrow, Jackson, Elbert, Clarke, Greene, Madison, Oglethorpe, Walton and Oconee counties are expected to attend the fair.

Georgia Student Finance Commission representatives also will be at the PROBE fair to provide details about the HOPE scholarship and the new www.gacollege411.org Web site, designed to help Georgia high school students plan and pay for a college education.

Free parking will be available in The Classic Center deck during the event.
