Media Advisory: Adams to deliver keynote address at Academy of the Environment fall luncheon

Athens, Ga. – University of Georgia President Michael F. Adams will be the keynote speaker for the Academy of the Environment’s fall luncheon Nov. 29, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Memorial Hall ballroom. Adams will speak on the topic “Sustainable UGA” and will discuss a number of initiatives and programs underway at UGA dealing with environmental and sustainability issues.

Additionally, there will be presentations by representatives of physical plant, the Office of University Architects and the student-led Go Green Alliance, which is involved in sustainability activities.

The Academy of the Environment is composed of UGA faculty and staff members who have expertise and skills related to environmental studies. The academy fosters collaborative, interdisciplinary partnerships and efforts in research, teaching and outreach.
