Athens, Ga. - An episode of "Mountain Stage" that was produced and recorded at the University of Georgia will air nationally and on WUGA Radio May 6 at 2 p.m.

Recorded before a live audience on Feb. 19 in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall, the show features Patterson Hood of the Drive-By Truckers, with a guest appearance from Mike Mills of REM. Also on the show is legendary session musician, composer, arranger, lyricist and singer Van Dyke Parks; multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Randall Bramlett; Denmark's singer-songwriter Teitur; and Georgia musician Caroline Aiken.

"Mountain Stage" with Larry Groce is distributed by National Public Radio and is the longest running two-hour live-performance radio program of its kind. Each week, the show features four to five guest artists whose music styles range from traditional to modern. Typically, the show is recorded at the Culture Center Theater in Charleston, W.Va. This is the second time the show has been taped at UGA.
