Athens, Ga. - The State Botanical Garden at the University of Georgia will host "Exotic Birds and Reptiles on Planet Earth Family Day" March 2 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Great Room of the Visitor Center and Conservancy.

Roy Hodge, of Exotic Paradise, Atlanta, will give a presentation featuring cockatoos, exotic parrots, spectacled owls, monitor lizards, anacondas, boa constrictors and more. The program will include animal facts, animal adaptations and conservations concerns. Afterward, the animals and their handlers will be available to meet. There also will be hands-on activities and crafts to learn more about forests of the world.

Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family. Children under 2 are free.
