UGA Parents Leadership Council accepting grant proposals for student life

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Parents and Families Association’s Parents Leadership Council is accepting grant proposals for the 2016-2017 academic year to fund program and events that enhance the student experience at UGA.

Grant applications are due by the close of business Feb. 12. Grants will be accepted only from UGA schools, colleges, units, departments, divisions or student organizations registered with the Center for Student Organizations.

Proposals must demonstrate a direct and positive affect on student life at UGA. Grants will be awarded in the spring by a committee established by the Parents Leadership Council.

Since 2002, the council has funded $1.3 million in grants to several programs and organizations on campus, including the Counseling and Psychiatric Services Center at the University Health Center, the Office of International Education and the Office of Student Financial Aid.
