UGA offers a variety of summer camps and activities

Athens, Ga. – Young people, from toddlers to teens, can take advantage of summer camps at the University of Georgia. A list of summer camps and activities is available at http://www.admissions.uga.edu/article/precollegiate_programs.html.

The activities range from sports camps to leadership programs to academic-intensive offerings and internships, with some camps offering students the chance to stay in the residence halls.

There are nature workshops for toddlers at the State Botanical Garden, animation and graphics camps for teens at the Georgia Center’s Summer Academy and music camps for high school students at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music.

A new offering this year is the Drama Dawgs Summer Theatre Camp hosted by UGA’s department of theatre of film studies.

For dates, cost, registration deadlines and additional information on the activities, see the Pre-Collegiate Initiative Web site at http://www.admissions.uga.edu/article/precollegiate_programs.html.
