The Snapshot party elected to top posts in UGA Student Government Association for 2010-2011

Athens, Ga. – University of Georgia students have elected the Snapshot party to the executive branch of the Student Government Association for the 2010-2011 school year. The party consists of president-elect Joshua Delaney, vice president-elect Stephen Thompson, and treasurer-elect Maddy Adler. Five thousand nine hundred twenty students voted in the 2010 SGA elections, representing 18 percent of the student body.

Delaney is a rising fourth-year student from Fayetteville majoring in advertising and theater. Thompson is a rising fourth-year student from Savannah pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry and a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in Spanish. Hailing from St. Louis, Mo., Adler is a rising fourth-year student majoring in finance.

The Snapshot party’s platform focused on expanding SGA to include representation from the more than 600 registered student organizations on campus and pursuing student representation on the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
