UGA awards 2009 Henry King Stanford Honors Scholarship

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia has awarded the Henry King Stanford Honors Scholarship to incoming first-year student Jeffrey Chen, a Northview High School graduate from Duluth. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keshi and Huiping Chen.

The scholarship is named after former UGA President Henry King Stanford for his outstanding service to the university and his over 40-year career in higher education. The award is given to incoming Honors students with exceptional high school academic records.

Students receive $3,000 per year and can renew the scholarship for up to three more years if they maintain certain academic requirements of the Honors Program.
