Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia College of Public Health will hold an information day open house Sept. 23 at 2:30 p.m. in the Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences.  Faculty, staff, students, potential students and the general public are invited to attend.
This informational event will highlight the units in public health, including biostatistics, disaster management, environmental health, epidemiology, global health, health policy and management, health promotion and behavior, and toxicology. Faculty from each academic area will discuss degree requirements, current research projects and career opportunities.
“The College has grown tremendously during the past five years.” said Dean Phillip L. Williams.  “The open house is an opportunity for us to share these developments, including new programs and degree options with prospective students.”
The college offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees as well as minors and certificate programs.  “Whether students are looking for a full degree program or just a few courses to round out a current program of study in another discipline, the college has something for everyone,” said Williams.
