UGA provides ways for students to help Hurricane Harvey victims

Over four feet of rain fell in Texas since Hurricane Harvey first made landfall on Aug. 25., resulting in devastation for those who call Houston home.

J. Marshall Shepherd, director for the program of atmospheric sciences at the University of Georgia said while this amount of rainfall is shocking, the storm was well-predicted among meteorologists and fell on a city that is significantly vulnerable to flooding.
