Athens, Ga. - The University of Georgia Institute for Women's Studies will host a fall reception honoring all women faculty at UGA on Sept. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Tate Student Center Grand Hall.

The institute will kick off the 2012-2013 academic year at the reception. The event will provide the university community with an opportunity to honor its women faculty as well as catch up with colleagues and friends.

The institute also will be celebrating its 35th anniversary at this year's reception by reflecting on the institute's milestones throughout the years.

The Institute for Women's Studies, a unit of the UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, brings together multi-disciplinary perspectives on women and gender from across all schools and colleges at UGA. For more information, see www.uga.edu/iws.
