Athens, Ga. - Four finalists for the position of vice president for student affairs at the University of Georgia will visit campus this month to meet with members of the university community.

A committee chaired by Jennifer Frum, vice president for public service and outreach, conducted a national search to identify the finalists. The committee was assisted by the UGA Search Group in Human Resources.

Each finalist will make a public presentation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Tate Student Center Reception Hall (Room 135). The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:

David Parrott, executive associate vice president and chief of staff to the vice president for student affairs, Texas A&M University, June 10;
Melissa Exum, vice president for student affairs, Purdue University, June 18—PRESENTATION CANCELLED
Victor Wilson, executive vice president for student affairs, College of Charleston, June 24; and
Jeanine Ward-Roof, dean of students, Florida State University, June 26.

The Division of Student Affairs works to enhance the learning environment at UGA by promoting an environment conducive to growth and discovery, fostering a sense of community and enabling all students to realize their potential. It includes the Office of the Dean of Students, which oversees the Center for Leadership and Service, Greek Life, International Student Life, the LGBT Resource Center, Multicultural Services and Programs, the Office of Student Conduct and the Tate Student Center. Other units that report to the vice president for student affairs include the University Health Center, University Housing, Recreational Sports and the Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities, the Disability Resource Center, Student Affairs for Extended Campuses, Student Support Services and University Testing Services.
