Ruth Bartlett, an audit partner at Frazier & Deeter in Atlanta, has been named the 74th president of the University of Georgia Alumni Association. Her two-year term began on July 1.

The University of Georgia Alumni Association will host the eighth annual Dawg Trot 5K for Scholarships on March 21 at 9 a.m. in a new location on campus, the Tate Student Center Plaza. Proceeds from this year's race will directly support scholarships for UGA students.

The University of Georgia will observe its 230th anniversary in 2015, and the UGA Alumni Association will celebrate the occasion by hosting a weeklong series of events, including the 13th annual Founders Day Lecture on Jan. 26 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel.

Meredith Gurley Johnson, a 2000 graduate of the University of Georgia who has worked in higher education advancement for more than 13 years, has been named executive director of the UGA Alumni Association.

The University of Georgia Alumni Association has released the 2015 Bulldog 100. This annual program recognizes the fastest-growing businesses owned or operated by UGA alumni. More than 450 nominations were submitted for the 2015 list.

The University of Georgia Alumni Association recently announced the 40 Under 40 Class of 2014. The group of young alumni will be celebrated at an awards luncheon Sept. 18 at the Georgia Aquarium.

Now in its eighth decade, the event allows the Alumni Association to recognize individuals who have demonstrated a deep commitment to bettering the university.

The University of Georgia Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2014 40 Under 40 recognition program, which recognizes UGA alumni under the age of 40 who area leaders in business, research, artistic, community, educational and/or philanthropic endeavors.

The University of Georgia will host the Return to the Arch Alumni Seminar, a three-day educational gathering from March 20-22 at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center. The event is open to the public and this year's theme is "The Best of UGA."
