The UGA College of Veterinary Medicine will host its annual Science of Veterinary Medicine Symposium Oct. 8.
Open free to the public, this year’s symposium will begin at 10 a.m.; registration is at 9:30 a.m. The keynote address will be given by Dr. David Haworth, president and CEO of the Morris Animal Foundation. Haworth will discuss the role of the foundation, the largest nonprofit source of veterinary research funding in the world, in raising awareness and funds to conduct meaningful, life-changing research that ultimately benefits animal well-being.
