Best-selling biographer of Walt Disney to speak on University of Georgia campus

Athens, Ga. – Neal Gabler, author of Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination (Knopf, 2006) will present a lecture entitled “Finding Walt Disney: The Man Behind the Image,” in room 101 of the Student Learning Center on the University of Georgia campus on Feb. 5 at 4 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the department of theatre and film studies at UGA and the Willson Center for the Humanities and the Arts.

Neal Gabler is a senior fellow at the University of Southern California’s Norman Lear Center and author of many award-winning books, including An Empire of Their Own: How the Jews invented Hollywood and Winchell: Gossip, Power, and the Culture of Celebrity.

He appears regularly on Fox News Watch and writes often for The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.
