Bulldogs put eight on preseason coaches All-SEC teams

The Georgia football team has a total of eight players on the annual Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference teams, according to a league announcement.

The Bulldogs have three First Team selections, which ranks third in the conference.  Senior tailback Nick Chubb, junior defensive lineman Trenton Thompson and junior inside linebacker Roquan Smithwere part of the 26-man First Team.

Sophomore tight end Isaac Nauta, senior offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn and senior safety Dominick Sanders were included on the league’s Second Team while junior defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter and senior outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter have been named to the Third Team.

Georgia, which was ranked No. 15 in the preseason edition of the Associated Press and Amway coaches polls, will open the season on Saturday, Sept. 2.  The Bulldogs host Appalachian State at 6:15 p.m.  ESPN will televise the matchup at Sanford Stadium.
