The new guide “There’s Lots to See in Georgia,” published by UGA Press in June, gives a history of Georgia’s state historic sites, including a brief history of each site, the process by which they were preserved or restored and became part of the state historic site system, and visitor information for any tourists.
The book features 16 sites spanning more than 1,500 years of history, including Native American sites, colonial-era sites, frontier settlement sites and more.
