Four finalists for the position of dean of UGA’s School of Social Work will visit campus in the coming weeks to meet with members of the university community.
A committee chaired by Linda Kirk Fox, dean of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, conducted a national search to identify the finalists. The committee was assisted by the UGA Search Group in Human Resources.
Each finalist will make a public presentation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 480 of the Tate Student Center. The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:
• Wesley Church, J. Franklin Bayhi Endowed Professor and director of the Louisiana State University School of Social Work, Feb. 8.
• Michael Fendrich, professor and associate dean for research at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, Feb. 15.
• Judy Postmus, associate professor of social work and director of the Center on Violence Against Women and Children at Rutgers University, Feb. 18.
• Anna Scheyett, professor and dean of the University of South Carolina College of Social Work, Feb. 22.
