Georgia Museum of Art at UGA announces expanded gallery hours

Athens, Ga. – Effective Tuesday, April 3, the galleries at the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m. Admission remains free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $3. The museum will continue to be closed on Mondays.

Support for this project from the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost has allowed more visitors to take advantage of the museum’s galleries. Previously, the lobby had been open at 10 a.m., but the galleries had remained closed until noon most days, and Tuesday had been reserved for UGA classes by appointment only.
