Henry F. Schaefer III, Graham Perdue Professor and director of the Center for Computational Chemistry, was honored by the University of California at Berkeley with a six-day conference entitled “Molecular Quantum Mechanics: From Methylene to DNA and Beyond. An International Conference in Honor of Professor Henry F. Schaefer III.”
In attendance at the May conference were 260 scientists from 30 different countries. Schaefer taught at Berkeley for 18 years before coming to UGA.
