International cooperative agreement formalizes collaboration of UGA, Mali

UGA President Michael F. Adams signed an International Cooperative Agreement with Tiemoko Sangare, Mali’s minister of agriculture, on Dec. 2. The signing formalized collaboration between UGA and the ministry. The Malian delegation also toured UGA agricultural-related facilities in Athens and Tifton.

For several years, the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has developed a relationship with the Western African country, which is one of the poorest in the world and is vulnerable to fluctuations in the world price for cotton-its main export-along with gold.
