Athens, Ga. – Ten students, 11 staff and faculty members and one recent graduate will be remembered during the University of Georgia’s Annual Memorial Service Tuesday, April 28. Each name will be read aloud, followed by the toll of the UGA Chapel Bell and lighting of a candle.
UGA President Michael F. Adams announced in a morning news briefing Monday that the university community also will pay appropriate respect for three citizens who were victims of a fatal shooting near the Athens Community Theatre Saturday.

What: UGA’s annual candlelight memorial service, which has been held each spring since 2000 to help the university community find comfort while honoring deceased friends, family members and colleagues.
