Music festival to feature Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

The Performing Arts Center will present the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in the third annual Arch Chamber Music Festival March 1 at 8 p.m. and March 2 at 3 p.m. in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall.

The Chamber Music Society will offer two different programs, performing music by Mozart, Beethoven and Schumann on March 1 and works by Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Dohnányi on March 2. 

Tickets for each Chamber Music Society concert are $40 with special discounts for UGA students. Tickets can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center box office, online at pac.uga.edu or by calling 706-542-4400.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center is America’s premier repertory company for chamber music, with a roster of the world’s leading instrumentalists. Seven of Lincoln Center’s outstanding artists will perform in Hodgson Hall for the weekend festival: pianists Juho Pohjonen and Wu Han, violinists Kristin Lee and Arnaud Sussmann, violist Mark Holloway and cellists Nicholas Canellakis and David Finckel. 

The Arch Chamber Music Festival concerts will be recorded for broadcast on American Public Media’s Performance Today, heard by more than 1.3 million listeners across the country.
