Poet, memoirist and musician Damon Krukowski to read at Ciné

Athens, Ga. – Poet, memoirist and musician Damon Krukowski will hold a reading Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Ciné Lab located at 234 W. Hancock Ave.

Sponsored by the University of Georgia creative writing program, his reading is free and open to the public.

Krukowski is the author of “Afterimage” (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2011), “The Memory Theater Burned” (Turtle Point, 2004) and “5000 Musical Terms” (Burning Deck, 1995). He and his partner Naomi Yang run the press Exact Change, which specializes in writings associated with the historical avant-garde. They also are musicians—performing currently as Damon & Naomi and formerly as two-thirds of the indie rock band Galaxie 500.

Krukowski lives in Cambridge, Mass., and works at the Peabody Essex Museum.
