School of Law’s enrollment up slightly; national numbers dip

First-year U.S. law school enrollment is down to its lowest mark since 1977, according to the American Bar Association.

First-year enrollment in 2013 fell 11 percent, marking the third straight year of declining enrollment since the all-time high in 2010.

The UGA School of Law bucked the trend with a slight increase in enrollment, according to the Athens Banner-Herald. UGA’s law school first-year enrollment for the fall was 198, up nine students from 2012.
