Sherontae Maxwell, director of the educational talent search TRIO program in the Division of Academic Enhancement, has been elected president of the Georgia Association of Special Programs Personnel for the 2009-2011 terms.
The Georgia Association of Special Programs Personnel is made up of more than 300 Georgia TRIO personnel who serve thousands of Georgia students. TRIO assists students by helping to level the playing field of educational opportunity for first generation, low-income and disabled students.
