UGA hosts 2008 PROBE College Fair on Sept. 10 at The Classic Center

Athens, Ga. – Local high school juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to visit with about 100 southeastern colleges and universities at the annual PROBE College Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 10. The University of Georgia is hosting the annual event at The Classic Center in downtown Athens from 6-8:30 p.m.

UGA’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions helps organize the fair for the Athens area where high school students and their parents can gain valuable information about the college admissions process and how to apply for scholarships and financial aid. College recruiters and counselors will be on hand to answer questions.

High school students from Barrow, Jackson, Elbert, Clarke, Greene, Madison, Oglethorpe, Walton and Oconee counties are expected to attend the fair.

Georgia Student Finance Commission representatives also will be at the PROBE fair to provide details about the HOPE scholarship and the http://www.gacollege411.org/ Web site, designed to help Georgia high school students plan and pay for a college education.

Free parking will be available in The Classic Center deck during the event.
