With a shortage of land above ground, universities in Singapore are looking to grow their campuses underground, according to a story from The New York Times.
Two of Singapore’s public universities have studied how to develop under their existing campuses to build new lecture halls, lab space and sports facilities.
According to the story, development may be possible 60 to 100 feet below ground.
