University Health Center, recreational sports to host joint health fair

Athens, Ga. – University of Georgia recreational sports and the University Health Center will host a Spring Health Fling Feb. 26 from 3-6 p.m. at the Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities.

Booths at the event will have information on health, fitness and positive spring break behaviors. Participants who visit six booths by the end of the event can enter to win free personal training or a fitness pass from recreational sports or a massage from the University Health Center. There will be free T-shirts and other giveaways at the fair and Hairy Dawg will be available for pictures from 4-5 p.m.

“We look forward to this fun and interactive opportunity to educate UGA students on positive healthy behaviors for before, during and after spring break,” said Stacy Connell, event coordinator and assistant director for fitness and wellness in the department of recreational sports. “It’s been a privilege to collaborate with the University Heath Center on this health fair.”
