University System of Georgia to offer new leadership training program

Starting this September, a number of University System of Georgia employees who have previously participated in the USG’s Executive Leadership Institute will be identified and provided additional and more rigorous professional development through the USG Accelerated Leadership Academy. The USG Office of Human Resources Organizational Development, working with select programs and schools at USG institutions, developed the new program.

The program exclusively targets USG Executive Leadership Institute Scholars. Program participants will have the opportunity to learn from instructors in four of the university system’s executive programs: the Terry College of Business at UGA, the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, the Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.

The presidents at their respective institutions will nominate scholars to this new program. The program will begin in September and will conclude in April 2014.

USG employees who are interested in learning more about the USG’s Executive Leadership Institute or the USG Accelerated Leadership Academy and how to participate should contact Tina Woodard at tina.woodard@usg.edu.
