WIP course proposals

The Franklin College Writing Intensive Program is accepting proposals until March 6 from arts and sciences faculty in all disciplines for innovative courses that encourage writing.

The Writing Intensive Program aims to enhance undergraduate education by emphasizing the importance of writing in the disciplines by offering “writing-intensive” courses throughout the college. Approximately 50 writing-intensive courses are selected each academic year.

Faculty who teach WIP courses are supported by a teaching assistant who is specially trained in writing-in-the-disciplines pedagogy.

Proposal forms, guidelines and information about the program are at www.wip.uga.edu. Questions should be directed to Michelle Ballif, mballlif@uga.edu.
