Yale University praised for its policies that help working mothers

Working Mother magazine ranked Yale University in New Haven, Conn., among its 100 best companies with policies to help mothers balance family needs and workplace demands.

The only higher education institution to make the magazine’s list, Yale was praised for its five on-site childcare centers, allowance of up to 40 hours of subsidized backup child care annually, family use of the institution’s 24-hour health center and free health insurance for all employees who work at least 20 hours a week and earn less than $83,000 per year.
