ATHENS, Ga. – A schedule has been set for campus visits by the five finalists for the position of associate provost for institutional diversity at the University of Georgia.
Each candidate will attend open meetings for faculty, staff and students, and will also hold meetings with key campus constituency groups.
The candidates and dates of their visits are:
May 6 – Frank Dobson Jr., director of the minority affairs office/black cultural center at Wright State University
May 8 – Michael Stevenson, director of the Diversity Policy Institute at Ball State University
May 20 – Keith Parker, undergraduate research coordinator in the sociology department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
May 23 – Paulette Dilworth, a faculty member in the Indiana University School of Education
May 28 – Maurice Daniels, professor and director of the master of social work program in UGA’s School of Social Work
All candidates will follow the same schedule of meetings, all in the Tate Student Center: 10-11:15 a.m., meet with faculty; 2-3 p.m., meet with staff; 3-4 p.m., meet with students; 4-5:15 p.m., meet with representatives of constituency groups.
The candidates will also have meetings with UGA Provost Arnett Mace and with deans and other administrators.
The new associate provost will succeed Rodney Bennett, UGA’s dean of students, who has held the job on an interim basis since last October.
