Athens, Ga. The May 17 graduaction ceremony for the University of Georgia School of Law will be held in Stegeman Coliseum because of the threat of rain and the wet conditions on the North Campus quad, where the ceremony was scheduled to take place.
School of Law Dean David E. Shipley regrets having to change the location. The current wet conditions make the electrical set up unsafe, he said. In addition, it is too risky to hold our ceremony outdoors due to the current forecast of thunderstorms for this evening and tomorrow morning.
Commencement will begin at 10 a.m. and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will deliver the keynote address.
