Athens, Ga. — Two University of Georgia College of Education students are among only a dozen recipients of national scholarships from Kappa Delta Epsilon, an honorary professional education fraternity.
Jennifer McElwaney received the Floreine Hudson National Scholarship, and Kathryn Otrosina was awarded the Lynda Goodwin Scholarship, both in the amount of $750. The awards support students who demonstrate excellence in academia and service in pursuit of a degree in education.
McElwaney, of Carrollton, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She serves as parliamentarian in the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of KDE.
Otrosina, of Watkinsville, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science and social science education. She is secretary of the UGA chapter of Kappa Delta Epsilon.
