Two veteran UGA administrators will work together to oversee newly initiated academic programs at UGA’s campus in Griffin. Bob Boehmer, associate provost for institutional effectiveness, has overall responsibility for UGA’s off-campus academic programs in both Griffin and Gwinnett. Gerald F. Arkin, who has served as assistant dean of the Griffin campus with UGA’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences since 1987, assumed additional responsibilities as assistant provost of the Griffin campus, effective July 1.
Daniel M. Bodansky, the holder of the Emily and Ernest Woodruff Chair in International Law, has been named associate dean for faculty development in the School of Law.
Stephanie Ransom has been promoted to director of business operations for the Athletic Association.
Judith D. Shaw has been named permanent associate provost for international affairs after holding the position on an interim basis for 14 months.
