Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia will air “The Carter Presidency: Lessons for the 21st Century,” in its entirety on UGA channel 15 May 19-21 and 26-28. This conference, held on the UGA campus in January to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Jimmy Carter’s inauguration as the nation’s 39th president, offered a critical exploration of the major issues of the Carter administration and how those experiences can be applied to the challenges the U.S. and the world are facing today.
