AGAS lecture

Christopher Reed, professor of English and visual culture at Pennsylvania State University, will discuss “Bachelor Japanists: Eastern Aesthetics and Western Masculinities” March 28 at 4 p.m. in Room S150 of the Lamar Dodd School of Art. Open free to the public, the lecture is part of UGA’s Association of Graduate Arts Students’ lecture series.

An interdisciplinary scholar with a degree in the history of art, Reed will examine Japan’s attraction for Occidental men and its effects on Westerners’ knowledge of the East.
