The UGA Black Faculty and Staff Organization held its 13th annual Founders’ Award Scholarship Luncheon Sept. 29 in the Tate Student Center.
The Rev. Francys Johnson, state president of the Georgia NAACP, gave the keynote address to a crowd of 400. During the luncheon, three scholarship awards were presented.
Elizabeth Louis, Darren Anglin and Na’Tasha Webb-Prather received the Founders’ Award. Faisal Gedi received the Myron G. Burney Service Award, and Zari Wilson was recognized with the inaugural Mark Dawkins Leadership Award.
