In conjunction with Black History Month, Manning Marable will speak Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. A professor of history at Columbia University, Marable is well know for his critical historical and political scholarship on race, race relations and African-American history. The title of his lecture, which is open to the public, is “Living Black History: Malcolm X and America’s Racial Future.” Marable’s visit to campus is sponsored by the Institute for African-American Studies.
