A body found March 25 is that of student Yongsheng Li, who had been missing for two weeks. According to a press release from the university’s police department, Li’s body was found by hikers in a pond in a wooded area off South Milledge Avenue between the State Botanical Garden and the Women’s Sports Complex. An autopsy performed March 27 by the crime lab at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation did not indicate a cause of death. The results of a toxicology report are expected within four to six weeks. Li, who was from China, was a doctoral student in biochemistry and molecular biology.
