Karen S. Calhoun, professor of psychology, received the Mentor Award from the Clinical Psychology of Women Section of the Society of Clinical Psychology, a division of the American Psychological Association. Presented at the annual APA meeting in August, the award honors a psychologist who has made significant contributions to the clinical psychology of women through mentoring, the development of training programs and related research. A major professor for more than 30 doctoral students, Calhoun is a former winner of UGA’s Owens Award and Creative Research Medal.
