Call for proposals

Proposals are being accepted until March 15 for the 2011 National Outreach Scholarship Conference.

A non-profit educational organization comprising 15 member institutions, the National Outreach Scholarship Conference works collaboratively to build strong university-community partnerships anchored in the rigor of scholarship and designed to help build community capacity.

UGA joined the partnership in 2003. Other members include Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Kentucky.

This year’s conference will be held Oct. 2-4 at Michigan State University and will focus on “Engaged Scholarship and Evidence-based Practice.”

Proposals are invited for presentations in five tracks: “Methods and Practices of Community-Based Research and Creative Activities;” “Translational Science and the Diffusion of Innovation;” “Globalization and International Engagement;” “Technologies as Tools for Engagement;” and “Leadership and Professional Development for Engaged Scholarship.”
