More American students than ever before are heading to Canadian higher education institutions, in part because of their low prices, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
A record 10,000 American students are currently studying abroad on Canadian soil, but that number could increase as more than 30 Canadian universities plan to actively target college fairs in five U.S. cities this year. Costs at top-tier Canadian universities run about $21,000 with room and board, the newspaper reported. The number of American students has doubled in the past 10 years.
