David P. Landau, Distinguished Research Professor and director of the Center for Simulational Physics, was elected as the new chair of the IUPAP C20 Commission on Computational Physics at the recent General Assembly Meeting of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
IUPAP was established in Brussels in 1922 and currently is headquartered in Singapore. A total of 60 member countries belong to IUPAP, and to cover interdisciplinary activities, IUPAP maintains close liaison with several of the other scientific Unions.
