Athens, Ga. – A 22-member search committee has been appointed to look for a successor to Barbara White, chief information officer at the University of Georgia, who recently announced her intention to step down from that post no later than Dec. 31, 2011.
The committee, appointed by Jere Morehead, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, includes broad representation from across campus.
Chaired by Rodney Bennett, vice president for student affairs, the committee includes Michael Clutter, dean, School of Forestry and Natural Resources; Cindy Coyle, executive director of financial services, External Affairs; Alan Darvill, director of the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center;Josh Delaney, president of the Student Government Association; Steve Dempsey, associate vice president for public service and outreach; Shawn Ellis, client services and systems administration, Enterprise Information Technology Services; Denise Gardner, director of the Office of Institutional Research; Toby Graham, deputy university librarian, Libraries; Nelson Hilton, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and professor of English; and Bonnie Joerschke, director of Student Financial Aid.
Other members are Jessica Kissinger, associate professor of genetics; Nancy McDuff, associate vice president for admissions and enrollment management; Chris Miller, associate provost for academic fiscal affairs; Libby Morris, vice provost for academic affairs and director of the Institute of Higher Education; Ryan Nesbit, senior associate vice president, Finance and Administration; Rodney Parks, associate registrar, Office of the Registrar; Brian Rivers, director, Information Security Office, EITS;Holley Schramski, associate vice president and controller, Finance and Administration; Robert Scott, associate vice president for research and professor of chemistry; Barbara Schuster, dean, Medical Partnership; and Phillip Williams, dean, College of Public Health.
